There’s nothing quite like a warm apple pie straight from the oven. It warms your spirits, fills your belly and never fails to make you feel nostalgic. It’s hard not to smile when you’re eating an apple pie.
We’re lucky here in our comfy little home that we’re able to enjoy baked goods fairly often and with great company. As we’re approaching the holiday season, we decided to bring some of this comfort to others in the form of small apple pies!
We purchased a number of these Marie Callender’s individual apple pies and baked according to the package instructions. And look how pretty the pie forms already are! There’s no need to even dress that up even more!
While they were baking, my daughter and I hopped on PicMonkey and created some little gift tags.
Just right-click on the picture to save to your computer and then you’re ready to print them out!
After the pies cooled, we placed them straight into these bags (make sure you get the box of bags that say “twist tie” and not the ones with the resealable opening).
We made some bows out of wired ribbons and just put a white twist tie around the middle of the bow. Twist your ribbon on the bag to seal it, tape on your gift tag and you’re ready to bring some warm comfort to others! We chose to deliver ours to a local nursing/rehabilitation home where my grandmother spent some time this past summer. These would also be great to deliver to neighbors or elderly people in your church or community. Anybody who could use some fresh-baked goodness! Yes, I do realize that could mean everybody you know! But it’s okay, because I’ve got plenty of tags for you to attach to them.

What a great printable and gift idea! I love this support program for our troops - as an Infantry wife it's so important to help our soldiers' moral on deployments!
