Even though we’re big college football fans here in this house, the Super Bowl is still a much anticipated event! The food, the friends, the commercials, the food!
This is one of our favorite dips and it’s loved by everybody, even the guys who normally go for the spicy wings and nachos! Well, they still go for the wings and nachos, but then they use this dip as a chaser.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip
1 8oz. block of cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter or margarine softened
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup mini chocolate chips
1 cup toffee chips
Blend the cream cheese and butter until softened. Beat in the sugars and the vanilla until well blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and toffee chips and store in refrigerator until ready to eat!
That’s it! It’s that simple and soooo absurdly good! Best part about it? Go ahead and make it a couple days in advance! It just gives the flavors time to meld and makes it even better. Which is an easy thing to do with the right containers!
We need new food storage containers like you wouldn’t believe. I see all these people posting on FB all the time about how socks go missing in the laundry and big appliances that apparently eat these missing socks. I kid you not, I have no idea what you people are talking about. I can’t think of one time that I’ve done laundry and only one sock comes out! Not saying I don’t believe you guys (heck if there are so many of you it must be true, right??), but I do think you’re all a bit nutso! But our house and the lids to plastic containers?! Now that, my friends, is a totally different story!
We have a regular old, stainless steel sink. It has a round drain on the bottom of it. How in the world do you put rectangular lids in there to wash and they never come out?? How do I take plastic containers down to the basement to watch movies and the lids never make it back up the steps?? How do we take food to a friend’s house with a lid on it, and come home with a container covered in plastic wrap?? It’s absurd, friends. Absurd.
Never again with these babies from Rubbermaid. The lid snaps right on the bottom! Isn’t that so cool? Picture this… you arrive at the Super Bowl with your chocolate chip cookie dough dip in a Rubbermaid container and all you have to do is pop the lid off, snap it onto the bottom and the lid is EXACTLY where you left it at the end of the party! Genius!
We got some big containers to take our Sweet & Salty Popcorn along too! What’s a football game without popcorn?!
