This Coffee  Milkshake comes together in just a few minutes but tastes decadent! Made with ice cream and coffee, this shake is less than 5 ingredients even with the toppings!

coffee and cream milkshake

I’m actually not a coffee drinker at all. As in, I’ve had about 2 sips of coffee in my entire life and I didn’t enjoy one second of it.

But coffee flavored desserts are a different story. Side note: if you have access to Turkey Hill ice cream, you must try Double Dunker. I wish I had never discovered it because it is bizarrely amazing.

Just as amazing as this coffee shake! I made these one day to surprise my daughter when she came home from school. Luckily for me, it made enough for two so I got to taste one too and promptly fell in love!

Since we aren’t coffee drinkers, that also means that we don’t own a coffee pot. But I always try to keep some instant coffee on-hand since it comes in handy when I’m baking certain recipes.

How to Make Coffee Milkshakes

1 tsp. Instant Coffee

6 oz. hot water

4 scoops vanilla ice cream

whipped cream

chocolate syrup

In a mug, add instant coffee crystals. Pour hot water over and stir to combine. Place in fridge until completely chilled. This is the hardest part because you have to actually plan ahead for the cooling time. Planning ahead is not exactly a strong point of mine, but it’s worth it for coffee shakes.

Once coffee is chilled, add coffee and ice cream to blender and blend until combined.

If you want it a little thicker, you can add ice cubes until you reach the desired consistency.

Pour into glass and garnish with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

Serve immediately and try not to groan while you’re drinking it!
