I’m pretty sure no beverage screams summer more than lemonade! And it’s such a simple drink to make yourself too!

Plus, once you get your base recipe for lemonade down, it’s easy to add some twists to it. You could make strawberry lemonade, raspberry lemonade or today’s recipe… blueberry lemonade!

Just a few days ago, I was on a press trip when a new friend showed me a local magazine with a recipe for blueberry lemonade. It looked so good that I snapped a picture of the recipe and decided to try it as soon as I got home!

And, yes, I added vodka to this recipe just because that’s my preference! But it is just as delicious if you leave the vodka out and keep it a Virgin Blueberry Lemonade!

Just ask my daughter who downed 2 of these back-to-back because she loved them so much! Thanks to her, I had to make a second batch to test out how many ounces of vodka to add to the full recipe!

How to Make a Blueberry Lemonade with Vodka Cocktail

It really couldn’t be easier! Just start with some freshly squeezed lemon juice, fresh blueberries, sugar and cold water. Add all of your ingredients to a blender and blend until well combined.

If you’re a person who doesn’t mind some pulp in their orange juice, go ahead and pour it straight into your glass.

I recommend straining it first, though, because you will be left with some blueberry fragments that didn’t all get blended in. Plus, it’s incredibly easy to strain and only takes about 2 extra seconds.

As you’re pouring it from the blender into your glasses or pitcher, just pour through a strainer instead! This is a great strainer set to buy because it comes with various sizes, so it’s perfect for either a glass with a small opening or a larger pitcher.

I like to pour it over crushed ice, because the colder your lemonade, the better. If you want to get all fancy, you can garnish with a lemon slice and a skewer of blueberries! Or just toss some loose blueberries and a lemon slice straight into your glass for an even easier garnish!
